"No one must go hungry, no one must be homeless, let us extend our helping hands to them": Bishop Theodore

Today, on 30th May, 2023, Daltonganj Catholic Diocese in collaboration with "Street Providence Trust, Goa" started a shelter home for the poor and homeless people in Bhusar,  Chandwa,  Latehar district. The program started with the cutting of the ribbon of the shelter home by Archbishop Felix Toppo SJ. Bishop Theodore welcomed everyone for the program and explained the purpose of the Shelter Home. Bishop Theodore said that this home is for all those who have no one to look after; and for those who keep wandering on the streets.

In this house they will be kept and will be served with every necessity free of cost. Along with this, the Food Bank was also inaugurated. Bishop Theodore said that the food bank means that the good food, which gets wasted, will be brought and preserved in the Freeze and will be used for the people of the shelter home and also for poor people. Bishop Theodore also said that today we all need to be sensitive towards the poor and the homeless. If everyone wishes, no one will go to bed hungry because so much good food has been wasted everyday. Let's not throw them away, because this too can fill someone's stomach. 

Mr. Ramchandra ji, MLA of Manika, thanked and encouraged for this great work. the chief guest of this program, former Education Minister Most Honorable Bandhu Tirkey said that the inaugurating of the shelter home is a historic day for Latehar district. Because today when we see in the society, there is no one who pays attention to others. It is very good to take this step at such a time. This will increase awareness among people. He also said that we should not waste food. 
At  the end, Archbishop Felix Toppo SJ blessed everyone and said that God gives some or the other inspiration to all of us to contribute in the service of the people. Let us serve the people with the qualities that we have got, not only by words but also by order. In the end, Father Pradeep Panna, Incharge of Krishi Vikas Kendra, thanked all those who were present and presented saplings to the all the guests. 

On this occasion, along with Bishop Theodore, Archbishop of Ranchi, Felix Toppo SJ; former education minister, Mr. Bandhu Tirkey; MLA of Manika Vidhansabha, Mr. Ramchandra Singh; Latehar Congress President, Mr. Muneshwar Oraon; BDO, Mr. Vijay Kumar,  Bishop Secretary Fr. Pardeep, the priests, sisters and  the people of Chandwa block were present.

आज दिनांक 30/5/2023 को लातेहार जिला के चंदवा प्रखंड के भुसाड़ गांव में गरीब और वेघर लोगों के लिए शेल्टर होम "स्ट्रीट प्रोविडेंस ट्रस्ट गोवा" के साथ मिल कर डाल्टनगंज कैथोलिक धर्मप्रांत ने इसकी शुरवात की। प्रोग्राम की शुरवात आर्च बिशप फिलीक्स टोप्पो द्वारा शेल्टर होम की  फीता काटा कर किया गया। डाल्टनगंज के बिशप थियोडोर ने कार्यक्रम के शुरवात में सभी का स्वागत किया एवम सेल्टर होम के उद्देश्य को बताया। बिशप थियोडोर ने कहा की यह घर उन सभी लोगों के लिए है जिनका कोई नहीं है। जो वेघर सड़कों या यहां वहां भटकते रहते हैं। इस घर में उन सभी को रखा एवम मुप्त में सेवा की जाएगी।

साथ ही साथ खाद्य बैंक का भी उदघाटन किया। बिशप थियोडोर ने कहा की खाद्य बैंक का मतलब है यह जो फ्रीज है इसमें जो अच्छा भोजन है जो बर्बाद हो जाता है को ला कर डाला जाएगा जिसका प्रयोग शेल्टर होम के लोग करेंगे। बिशप थियोडोर ने यह भी कहा कि आज हम सभी को गरीब और वेघर लोगों के प्रति संवेदनशील होने की जरूरत है। आज यदि सभी चाहें तो कोई भूख नहीं सोएगा क्योंकि कितना अच्छा भोजन रोज बर्बाद होता है। आए हम इन्हें न फेकें। क्योंकि यह भी किसी का पेट भर सकता है।

मनिका विधान सभा के एमएलए श्री रामचंद्र जी ने इस महान कार्य के लिए धन्यवाद एवम प्रोत्सहन दी। इस कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित मुख्य अतिथि पूर्व शिक्षा मंत्री अति माननीय बंधु तिर्की जी ने कहा यह जो घर का उदघाटन कर रहे हैं। यह लातेहार जिला के लिए ऐतिहासिक दिन है। क्योंकी आज जब हम समाज में देखते हैं सभी सिमटते जा रहे हैं। कोई दूसरे को ध्यान नही दे रहे हैं। ऐसे समय में यह कदम उठाना बहुत ही अच्छा है। इससे लोगों में जागरूकता बड़ेगी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि हम भोजन को बर्बाद न करें ।

अंत में राँची माहधर्मप्रांत के आर्चबिशप फिलिक्स टोप्पो एस जे ने सभी को आर्शीवाद दिया एवम कहा की ईश्वर हम सभी को कुछ न कुछ प्रेरणा देता है कि हम लोगों की सेवा में अपना योगदान दें। आए जो हमे गुण मिले हैं न केवल वचन से पर क्रम से भी लोगों की सेवा करें। अंत में कृषि विकास केंद्र के मैनेजर फादर प्रदीप पन्ना ने सभी उपस्थित लोगों को धन्यवाद दिया एवम सभी मुख्य अतिथि को सप्लिन के रूप में  पौध दिया गया।

इस मौके पर बिशप थियोडोर के साथ रांची माहधर्मप्रांत के आर्चबिशप फिलिक्स टोप्पो एस जे पूर्व शिक्षा मंत्री श्री बंधु तिर्की जी, मनिका विधान सभा के एमएलए श्री रामचंद्र सिंह, लातेहार कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्री मुनेश्वर उरांव, प्रखंड विकास पदाधिकारी श्री विजय कुमार, प्रखंड के सभी मुख्य गण बिशप सेक्रेटरी फा. अप्रदीप भिभिन जगहों से आए पुरोहित गण धर्मबहने चंदवा प्रखंड के आम जनता उपस्थित थे।
