डाल्टनगंज धर्मप्रांत के सर्वांगिन ग्राम विकास केंद्र और रांची महाधर्मप्रांत ने मिल कर  जंगलों के बीच कुंडपानी में गरीबों की सेवा की
डालटनगंज शहर से लगभग 35 कि०मी० दूर जंगलों के बीचो-बीच में कुंडपानी का गांव स्थित है। बरसों से माओवादी हमले से प्रभावित यह गांव और इसके लोग गरीबी के जाल में फंसे हुए हैं। इस क्षेत्र में शायद ही कोई विकास हो रहा है, यहाँ के लोग छोटे पैमाने पर खेती और छोटी-मोटी दैनिक मजदूरी की नौकरियों में सिमट गए हैं। सर्वांगिन ग्राम विकास केंद्र, डाल्टनगंज धराम्प्रांत की सामाजिक शाखा, जो पुनरुद्धार मोड में है, इस जगह के गरीब लोगों की मदद करना चाहा। इस पहाड़ी जंगल क्षेत्र की बहुत सर्द और ठंडी परिस्थितियों को देखते हुए, सर्वांगिन ग्राम विकास केंद्र ने कंबल वितरण में मदद के लिए रांची महाधर्मप्रांत से अनुरोध किया।

11 जनवरी  को कुंडपानी और आसपास के गांवों के लोगों को 200 से अधिक कम्बलों का वितरण किया गया। सर्वांगिन ग्राम विकास केंद्र के निदेशक फा. सुमन निरंजन मिंज ने वितरण की शुरुआत की और लोगों को याद दिलाया कि कैथोलिक चर्च गरीबों से प्यार करता है और उनकी मदद करना चाहता है। आर सी मिडिल स्कूल के प्रधानाचार्य फा. पैट्रिक बारला ने लोगों और उनके परिवारों के लिए प्रार्थना की। उन्होंने उन परोपकारी और शुभचिंतकों को भी याद किया जो हमारी मदद करते हैं। डाल्टनगंज के प्रेरित प्रशासक बिशप थिओडोर मस्करेनहास SFX ने लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्हें समझाया कि कैथोलिक चर्च सेवा करता है क्योंकि यीशु ने हमें प्यार करना और सेवा करना सिखाया है। हम जाति, पंथ या धर्म या भाषा के आधार पर भेद नहीं करते हैं। सभी भगवान संतान हैं और हमारे भाई-बहन हैं। हम सभी जरूरतमंदों की मदद करते हैं। उन्होंने घोषणा की कि ये कंबल इंग्लैंड में काम करने वाले दो दोस्तों मि० ब्रायन माइकल फर्नांडीस और मिकी कार्डोजो की देन हैं। उन्होंने लोगों से उनके लिए दुआ करने को कहा। बिशप ने लोगों से शांति और भाईचारे के साथ रहने और एक-दूसरे की सेवा करने का आह्वान किया। फा. अशित टोप्पो ने पूरे वितरण कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया। फा. बिनय केरकेट्टा। ब्रदर सुमित  FCC धर्मसमाज की धर्मबहनों ने कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया।

DALTONGANJ DIOCESE SARWANGIN VIKAS KENDRA JOINS RANCHI ARCHDIOCESE IN THE SERVICE OF THE POOR IN THE JUNGLES
About 35 Kilometres from the Daltonganj City right in the heart of the jungles lies the sleepy village of Kund Pani. Hit by maoist infestation for years, the village and its people have been caught in the web of Poverty. With hardly any development taking place in the area, the people are reduced to small scale farming and petty daily wage jobs. The Sarwangin gram Vikas Kendra, the social wing of the Daltonganj Diocese which is in revival mode wished to help the poor people of the place. Considering the very wintry and cold conditions of this hilly jungle region, the SGVK requested the Ranchi Archdiocese for help in distribution of blankets. On 11th January over 200 blankets were distributed to the people of Kund pani and surrounding villages.

Fr. Suman Niranjan Minj Director    of SVGK introduced the distribution and reminded the people that the Catholic Church loves the poor and wishes to help them. Fr. Patrick Barla Principal of the R. C. Middle School prayed for the people and their families. He also remembered the benefactors and well wishers who help us. Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX the Apostolic Administrator of Daltonganj addressing the people explained to them that the Catholic Church serves because Jesus had taught us to love and serve. In a special way we love the poor. We do not make distinctions based on caste, creed or religion or language. All are children of God and our brothers and sisters. We help all those in need. He announced that these blankets were the gift of two friends working in England, Mr. Brian Michael Fernandes and Mickey Cardozo. He asked the people to pray for them. He exhorted the people to live in peace and brotherhood serving each other. Fr. Ashit Toppo managed the whole distribution programme. Fr. Binay Kerketta, Bro. Sumit Bara, sisters from FCC congregation participated in the program.
