Over 1000 Poor children from villages of Balunath and Lath receive school shoes as Christmas gift

The Daltonganj Diocese along with Street Providence Trust Goa were once again in the for front of love of poor and needy children. Street Providence Trust Goa donated 1000 pairs of school shoes to children from the villages from Balumath and Lath in the Latehar district of Jharkhand. The two villages line approximately about a hundred and twenty kms from the Ranchi the capital of Jharkhand undergo all the negative effects of the so called "resource curse". The sleepy villages feel the dust and polution of the coal mines situated around them. While much mining takes place the people themselves have remained abjectly poor. The poor children in this area study in the two missionary schools of St Julie School Balumath and Gyan Prakash School, Lath. The children in St Julie School filled with joy welcomed Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas sfx and his team with a small program and the children of Lath with a welcome song. Bishop Theodore explained to the children of both the schools that he is able to help them only because their are people of good will who think of our poor children. He requested them to pray for this benefactors. Sister Punam the principal of St Julie school, Pradeep Xaxa the principal of Gyan Prakash school, Fr. Walter, Fr. Pradeep, Fr. Ashit, sisters and teachers were present for the distribution.

बालूनाथ और लाठ गांवों के 1000 से अधिक गरीब बच्चों को क्रिसमस उपहार के रूप में स्कूल के जूते मिले

स्ट्रीट प्रोविडेंस ट्रस्ट गोवा के साथ डाल्टनगंज धर्मप्रान्त एक बार फिर गरीब और जरूरतमंद बच्चों के प्यार के लिए आगे आया। स्ट्रीट प्रोविडेंस ट्रस्ट गोवा ने झारखंड के लातेहार जिले के बालूमाथ और लाठ गांवों के बच्चों को 1000 जोड़े स्कूल जूते दान किए। झारखंड की राजधानी रांची से लगभग एक सौ बीस किलोमीटर की दूरी पर स्थित ये दोनों गांव तथाकथित "संसाधन अभिशाप" के सभी नकारात्मक प्रभावों से ग्रसित हैं। ये सभी निचले तबके के गाँव अपने आसपास स्थित कोयला खदानों की धूल और प्रदूषण को प्रभावित होते हैं। हालांकि इन क्षेत्रों में बहुत अधिक खनन हो रहा है, फिर भी यहां रहने वाले लोग स्वयं अत्यंत गरीब बने हुए हैं। इस क्षेत्र के गरीब बच्चे दो मिशनरी स्कूलों सेंट जूली स्कूल बालूमाथ और ज्ञान प्रकाश स्कूल, लाठ में पढ़ते हैं। सेंट जूली स्कूल में बच्चों ने खुशी से भरकर बिशप थियोडोर मैस्करेनहास एस.एफ.एक्स और उनकी टीम का एक छोटे से कार्यक्रम के साथ और लाथ के बच्चों ने स्वागत गीत के साथ स्वागत किया। बिशप थियोडोर ने दोनों स्कूलों के बच्चों को समझाया कि वह उनकी मदद केवल इसलिए कर पा रहे हैं क्योंकि वे अच्छी सोच वाले लोग हैं जो हमारे गरीब बच्चों के बारे में सोचते हैं। उन्होंने बच्चों से इन उपकारों के लिए प्रार्थना करने का अनुरोध किया। सेंट जूली स्कूल की प्रिंसिपल सिस्टर पुनम, ज्ञान प्रकाश स्कूल के प्रिंसिपल प्रदीप खाखा, फादर वाल्टर, फादर प्रदीप फादर आशित, धर्मबहनें एवं शिक्षक इस कार्यक्रम के लिए उपस्थित थे।
